Ashes of Roses Nylon Chiffon Evening Gown with Ruched Bodice and Fluttery Peplum circa 1940s
OH, this dress is a dream!
Ashes of roses "pink" feather light nylon chiffon evening gown with darling overlapping petal sleeves, intricately ruched bodice and doubled ruffled peplum at hips trailing down front and back of skirt. Lined in acetate taffeta. Dress has a side metal zipper. There were a few dark dots on left upper bodice where a corsage likely sat moons ago, so I added a pin-on silk magnolia to hide that and to complete the look!
This girl saw quite a party at one point, as there are a few scattered small holes toward hem and soiling at very bottom of hem. Hardly of note when worn- could be hemmed to hide. By Ricky Formals.
34" bust, 24" waist, 44" hips , 17" bodice, 59" long, 5" sleeves
